A Countryside Wedding - Flowers for Charlotte & Jonny

If you love a beautiful countryside wedding and relaxed, natural wedding flowers then I suspect that you're going to fall for this real wedding.  Charlotte and Jonny were married at Furtho Manor Farm, deep in rural Northamptonshire, and it couldn't have been a more romantic affair...

Futhro Manor Farm really is a charming wedding venue and it was the perfect setting for Charlotte and Jonny's big day.  They knew that they wanted a laid-back, carefree style, so I designed their wedding flowers to give them just that.  Lashings of foliage brought to life with Peonies, Roses and Lisianthus worked wonderfully throughout the day.

The ceremony itself took place in the old chapel that sites on the grounds of Furtho Manor.  You cannot imagine a more romantic setting for a wedding!  We lined the aisle of the chapel with large hurricane vases, each containing a classic chapel candle.  Garlands of foliage were woven between the candles and, as Charlotte LOVES eucalyptus, this featured prominently throughout the day.

Charlotte and all fiver of her bridesmaids continued in this style with their gorgeous foliage flower crowns.  It was fabulous to see such a great botanical twist on the floral headdresss and the use of foliage here really highlighted the theme of the day, linking the ceremony and the reception perfectly.

On the long, family-style, reception tables, we added a whole range of jars and bottles and filled them loosely with mixed flowers in champagne, white and peachy tones.  The top table was adorned with a foliage garland and this brought a fantastic freshness to the reception.

One of Charlotte's wonderful friends made the couple's wedding cake and we dressed it lightly with olive and eucalyptus foliage and the pretties peonies and roses for colour and contrast.

However, the standout floral feature of the reception had to be the magnificent ladder of draping foliage that we hung from the ceiling.  I'll be honest, it was pretty scary up there but the finished look was so incredible, it was worth a few moments of trembling knees!  The ladder was particularly meaningful as Jonny's a fireman - what else could we have used?!

I absolutely loved working with Charlotte and Jonny and their wedding style suited them perfectly.  It's always such a treat to bring a couple's wedding vision to life and the whole team was thrilled to be part of such a terrific day.
