Easter Romance at The Dairy, Waddesdon

I just love working on weddings where the couple have really thought out every single detail of their big day. It’s always such a pleasure to bring their ideas to life and I couldn’t have adored Tracey and Richard’s romantic Easter wedding at The Dairy, Waddesdon any more…

An Easter wedding really does call for eggs and Tracey and Richard included the most exquisite white painted, laser cut eggshells! The couple had come across these amazing eggs while on holiday the previous year and decided to bring them home so that they could be incorporated into the big day. Yes, it really was a perfectly themed Easter wedding.

With a delicate palette of lilac tones alongside pure white, there was a definite spring feel in the wedding flowers at The Dairy, Waddesdon. Beautiful anemones, ranunculus, tulips and lilac were featured through the wedding and, of course, we carefully added those precious eggs into all the floral decorations, including Tracey’s heavenly bouquet.

The younger bridesmaids carried Pomanders of miniature blush and ivory roses with Wax Flower and touches of lilac. The gentlemen accessorised with tulip buttonholes for a truly springtime look. I also have to mention the little extras that finished Tracey’s bouquet – we added these to the handle for an additional personal touch that meant the world to the bride.

The Dairy, Waddesdon is an absolutely gorgeous venue and The Winter Garden is a spectacular location for a memorable wedding ceremony with its impressive stone urn. This is normally filled with flowers but Tracey chose something slightly different to work with her Easter theme. We added a garland of flowers with foliage, flowers and more of those delightful eggs around the foot of the urn. It made a great feature and certainly became a talking point!

For the reception, Tracey was keen to keep the conversation flowing so we created low table centres that absolutely in the Easter style. Low nests of vine were filled with spring flowers and roses and these not only looked lovely, they were also a lot of fun to make.

To finish the decorations in the room, and to draw attention to the fabulous beams above, we hung huge flowers balls full of hydrangeas and roses, secured with hessian, above the guests and these were just perfection.

It was a joy to be part of Tracey and Richard’s Easter wedding – in fact, you could say it was egg-cellent…!

Thank you for joining us,
